Memories to Last a Lifetime

Reminiscing

Reminiscing

Term 1 passed very swiftly, almost a quarter of Sec 4 life is over now. What's left is just a few more months and everyone will go parting ways. This reminds me of the Primary 6 year. The initial reluntance to go to different secondary schools, but eventually everyone got over it and found better friends. I wonder what will happen if we stayed together. Maybe we would all become a different person now, for better or for worse.

Got back some of the Common Tests Results. Some surprizes and some disappointment. But I guess we will all pull everything together before the final O'lvl. I found out the only way to make school less boring is to keep a high interest level in whatever we learn. Urgh, don't talk abt differentiation, totally no link.

At least there's a learning journey to some Eurasian Association, Annual UG Camp to "look forward" to as well as the long-awaited break. Kind of regreted not signing up for the Perak Trip, ah well its too late now.

May all of you have a fulfilling March Holidays.

The Week of Afternoon Naps (Common Tests)

The Week of Afternoon Naps (Common Tests)

Common Tests are finally over. Again. All of them were quite ok, especially Sciences. The only exception was the killer AMaths Paper. I guess I didn't had the perserverance to PIA even for the last subject. Thanks to people who gave me chocs and sweets on Valentine's Day. After school, xh yk sd dm jq pl shaun and me went to watch the movie "The Ghost Rider". Generally the plot was simple and graphics were nice. Plus some eye-candy too. I should not elaborate anymore here, if not I will get flamed for spoiling the movie. LoLs

Managed to get over the B3 set-back already. Maybe it wasn't actually that bad afterall. Life still goes on and who knows maybe I will not need to use Chinese as my R5 if things go as planned. Tml is a half-day. Cheers. Arrangements are made to come over to my house to play basketball.

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. As usual, going to spend the whole weekend visiting relatives. Two words to describe - "insanely mind-taxing". Sometimes its not that you do not like them. Its just that in order to break the unbearable silence, they will tend to ask questions which they don't really care. "How old are you this year?" "Woah, you have grown so tall". Then year after year, they ask the same questions. Adults will be reminiscing the past for the nth time. I guess I will be gambling with my cousins for remaining of the time.

Happy Chinese New Year All.

Seventh Heaven to Ground Zero (O'lvl Chi)

Seventh Heaven to Ground Zero

So it had to a B3...after studying HCL since primary4. Wondered what went wrong.. Was it the oral about young people wasting money? Was it the compo on 3-generations living together? Or was it the 4 compres? I admit I did not make put in 100% effort to revise for it but I really didn't see this coming. Chinese was never a concern for me but this time I was pulled right back to reality. Now I understand the plight of people who struggled with chinese. Now I know why some of my cousins migrated abroad. From overconfident'ness' to absoutely being left with nothing but a useless B. We always write politically correct model answers for questions in exams. Young people should always be able to withstand set-backs and overcome times of difficulty. However, its easier to say than done. Deleted all the games from my computer. From now, its going to be frantic dash for 'O's

Am I going to retake my chinese? Hell no.
Am I screwed for O'lvls? Not if I can do a damn thing about it.

The Tale of the Father's Day Jacket

The Tale of the Father's Day Jacket

Another week is over. I discovered that I have been blogging on a weekly-basis recently. Next week is Common Tests already. So fast but at least we get to finish it before CNY. Every week is like a roller-coaster ride for me. Even though its just school between home, every week has its own unexpected happenings. No wonder optimistic people always say that life is colourful and wonderful. Since I 'fen xiang' my gift for father day's during Chinese, the teacher have not failed in calling me every single lesson. Especially when a 'someone' also wrote the same jacket as me and was free from all these 'attention' from the teacher. Heard that O' level Chinese Results is going to be released next week. Stress sia. If I could get an A1 for it, that would be the best gift for CNY.
Btw, sorry Jonathan for kicking the ball into your face during CCA.
Good Luck for Common Tests ppl...
